ABOUT the founder & designer

I’m Christy, the founder and creative director of Papertree Studio.
Since 2008, I’ve been designing thoughtful paper goods and event branding for celebrations around the world. What began as a passion project alongside my full-time work in editorial design has grown into a full-time studio dedicated to creating meaningful, artful moments through design.

Before Papertree, I spent a decade as an editorial, advertising, and marketing designer for a magazine publishing company in Philadelphia—and six years as the head coach of a Division II field hockey program at Philadelphia University. Both shaped the way I work: with heart, precision, and an eye for storytelling.

I’m endlessly inspired by travel, natural textures, and the beauty of art—past and present. I love the challenge of stepping outside my comfort zone and finding thoughtful, unexpected solutions that elevate every detail. Whether it's a custom monogram, a sculptural escort display, or a fully branded destination wedding, I believe in design that feels layered, intentional, and deeply personal.

THE STUDIO

At Papertree Studio, we’re a small but mighty team of women. We are designers, problem-solvers, and detail-lovers who care deeply about creating meaningful, cohesive experiences. From initial sketches to final installations, we collaborate closely on every element—bringing artistry, intention, and a sense of calm to even the most complex events. Each member of our team shares a passion for design that tells a story, honors the setting, and elevates the celebration.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What types of printing methods do you use?

We use a a few different printers for our invitation suites. We offer flat printing, letterpress, foil press, debossing and embossing.
What types of payment do you accept?

For custom and collection orders we require a 50% deposit that will be applied to your final order. The final payment is due when suite is sent to press. Payment Methods: We accept checks, cash and credit cards through Intuit Payments. Payments made on this website are through Stripe. All transactions are completely secure. Checks are made out to Papertree Studio and mailed to the address on your invoice.
Do you offer envelope printing?

Yes, of course! We can print the return address and addressee on each envelope in a matching font and color from the invitation along with a coordinating design from the invitation for a starting cost of $3.50/envelope. We require an Excel document of your guest list as we will print your envelopes exactly as the names appear on that list. *We currently only offer this service for our clients.
Do you offer in-person consultations?

We only reserve in-person consultations for our custom clients. 99% of the time we do Zoom consultations though.
Do you offer printing for other designers?

No, we do not offer printing for other designers or companies right now.
Can you send me samples of your invitations and swatches?

Of course! Contact us for samples.
Are you able to rush orders?

Rush orders are available starting at $1,200. Please mention this during your consultation. Rush services are anything after the 12 week mark for your event. *Please note, we can only accommodate a few rush jobs per year.
Can you mail my invitations for me?

Absolutely, please inquire for more information when inquiring.
What is your return policy?

Due to the custom nature of our products, all sales are final. Please check your final digital proof very carefully before approving it, as we are not responsible for any mistakes made by you and do not offer refunds or reprints free of charge should errors occur (after receiving approval of your final proof).

The save-the-dates and invitation suite are most guests' first impression of the wedding day, and I am so grateful that Christy's work was ours. From our initial meeting with her up to the final details (menus, place cards, cocktail signs etc.), she was so receptive to our ideas for the design and tone—taking my a weirdly niche or nebulous suggestions and creating something absolutely beautiful in response.
